Job Title: Capital Projects Scheduler
Location: North Chicago, IL
Hire Type: Contract (12+ months | Multi-Year Project)
Target Pay Rate: $60/hour (W2)

Must-Have Skills:

Job Summary:
Seeking a Capital Projects Scheduler to support large-scale capital engineering and construction initiatives at our client’s pharmaceutical manufacturing headquarters. This individual will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing project schedules for high-value capital projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
The ideal candidate will have experience supporting complex capital projects exceeding $100M in value and will be comfortable managing aggressive project timelines while collaborating with engineering, construction, and project management teams.
 
Job Duties:
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules for large-scale capital projects 
  • Track project milestones, critical paths, and schedule dependencies 
  • Monitor schedule performance and identify risks or delays proactively 
  • Support project teams with schedule updates, forecasting, and reporting 
  • Coordinate with engineering, construction, and project management stakeholders to ensure project alignment 
  • Assist with schedule recovery planning for compressed or accelerated timelines 
  • Generate schedule reports and present project status updates to leadership as needed 
  • Ensure scheduling best practices and project controls processes are followed throughout the project lifecycle
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related field preferred 
  • 5+ years of experience in capital project scheduling or project controls 
  • Experience supporting capital projects valued at $100M or greater required 
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Project (MS Project) required 
  • Experience working within highly regulated manufacturing, pharmaceutical, chemical, or industrial environments preferred 
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment
