Benefits:About the Role:
Liberty Solutions has a client in need of a Capsule Integration Architect to close a critical skills gap on its interface and integration team. This is an approximately six month, fully remote contract engagement supporting a hospital system that is preparing to open a new clinical center and needs experienced Capsule support to evaluate its current environment, connect medical devices to the EHR, and cross train internal staff.
OverviewThe client's interface and integration team is well established in Rhapsody and Bridges, but leadership has identified Capsule as the team's most significant skills gap. Capsule is the integration engine used to connect medical devices, including Philips monitors, SECA scales, and Draeger devices, into the EHR (Epic), in much the same way Rhapsody serves as the integration engine for broader interface traffic. The organization is preparing to open a new clinical center, which carries a substantial volume of device integration work that must run through Capsule, making this an urgent, high visibility need. The engagement is expected to run around six months+.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate the client's current Capsule integration environment and identify gaps ahead of the new clinical center opening.
- Design, build, and support Capsule interfaces connecting medical devices, including Philips monitors, SECA scales, and Draeger devices, to the EHR (Epic).
- Partner closely with the Biomedical/Clinical Engineering (BME) team on integration requirements for connected medical devices.
- Work alongside the existing interface and integration team, who bring strong Rhapsody and Bridges experience, to support a cohesive overall integration strategy.
- Support Capsule readiness and device integration work tied to the opening of a new clinical center.
- Provide hands on cross training to internal team members to build lasting internal Capsule capability.
Required Qualifications- 6+ years of hands on Capsule integration experience.
- Extensive experience with Rhapsody as an interface engine.
- 6 to 8+ years serving as an Interface/Integration Architect in a healthcare or hospital setting.
- Demonstrated experience integrating medical devices into an EHR, ideally Epic.
- Willing and able to provide hands on cross training to internal team members.
- Strong communication skills and comfort working cross functionally with clinical and biomedical engineering teams.
- Some experience with Epic Bridges.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience supporting integration efforts tied to a new facility or clinical center opening.
- Familiarity with Philips monitors, Draeger devices, and SECA scales.
