Job Summary:
Mission Hospital in Asheville, North Carolina, is excited to welcome a skilled Cardiac Anesthesiologist to join us. Our cardiac team shares call equally (1:6) from home with no in-house call responsibility. Weekend and holiday cardiac call is also shared equally by the group. Mission Hospital’s cardiac program is the second busiest in the state of NC, yet our team enjoys the camaraderie of a much smaller group. We have 4 highly capable CV surgeons performing 1400 bypass annually, 300-400 lung cases, TAVR, LVAD, ECMO, and lots of valves. Our cases do not include pediatric hearts and we don’t do transplants. We are a care team model, so our physicians supervise cardiac specialty CRNAs.At its founding in 1968, Nashville-based HCA was one of the nation's first hospital companies.
