Job Summary:

Mission Hospital in Asheville, North Carolina, is excited to welcome a skilled Cardiac Anesthesiologist to join us.  Our cardiac team shares call equally (1:6) from home with no in-house call responsibility.  Weekend and holiday cardiac call is also shared equally by the group.  Mission Hospital’s cardiac program is the second busiest in the state of NC, yet our team enjoys the camaraderie of a much smaller group.   We have 4 highly capable CV surgeons performing 1400 bypass annually, 300-400 lung cases, TAVR, LVAD, ECMO, and lots of valves.  Our cases do not include pediatric hearts and we don’t do transplants.  We are a care team model, so our physicians supervise cardiac specialty CRNAs.  

Qualified Candidates:
  • Will be board certified/eligible in Cardiac Anesthesiology and have the ability to be licensed in NC.
  • Cardiac Fellowship trained physicians are highly preferred.  Experienced but not fellowship trained candidates will be considered, but must be boarded in advanced perioperative TEE. 
  • Must be eligible to work in the US without restriction.
  • Will be part of a large, cohesive team of hospital employed professionals.
