Experience:

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: - Two years of Invasive Cardiovascular Technology or Electrophysiology experience (not including academic training or CVIS training). - Demonstrated expertise in performing complex diagnostic and advanced interventional procedures or demonstrated understanding. - Must be competent in basic coronary intervention (have completed skills pass off).
Required Credentials: - Bachelor’s degree in health science program. Education must be obtained through an accredited institution. Degree will be verified. - Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology, Cardiovascular Technology, Respiratory Therapy, or Nursing program. - Passage of the CEPS exam (EP only). - Graduate of an accredited diploma or associate program in health science. - One of the following credentials accepted: RCIS, RCES, ARRT-Radiography (R), ARRT-Cardiovascular Interventional Radiography (CV), or ARRT-Vascular Interventional Radiography (VI). - Radiation badge required.
Unit Details: - Participates in procedure room preparation and post-procedure turnaround. - Makes hemodynamic recordings, calculations, and interpretations. - Understands and applies principles of x-ray generation and safety and demonstrates correct operation of imaging equipment. - Provides procedural assistance as a circulating tech, scrub tech, or monitoring tech, according to cath lab policies and procedures and scope of practice documents. - May mix and administer some medications under the direction and supervision of the physician. - Performs point-of-care testing and QA. - At the end of the procedure, may apply a closure device, suture the sheath in place, or remove the sheath and apply pressure to obtain hemostasis. - Develops skills in operating, calibrating, and troubleshooting all equipment in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory. - Maintains knowledge of cardiopulmonary pathophysiology, pharmacology, anatomic anomalies, treatment options, and invasive diagnostic and interventional supplies, including proper use and deployment techniques.
Shift & Scheduling: - On-call required.
14 days maximum time off
1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 2 years
1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 2 years
