Cardiac Cath Lab Tech, Cath Lab, Full Time, Flex-Day Shift, Job ID # 1836900

Position Summary: Knowledge of physiological, psychosocial and therapeutic components specific to assisting the appropriate treatment, and prioritizing of patients. Prepares for and monitors diagnostic and interventional procedures, electrophysiological studies, pacemaker insertions, intra-aortic balloon pumps, structural heart procedures and endovascular procedures. Sets up & breaks down equipment; performs hemodynamic calculations for patient reports. Able to work well in a fast paced environment, while maintaining composure and courtesy to patients and families. Position Qualification: (Training, Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities) Minimum one year experience as a Paramedic in the hospital or Pre-Hospital setting or related experience. Knowledge base requisite to the assessment and care for the cardiac / vascular patient.Must obtain Cardiovascular Tech, Cardiac Cath Tech or ARRT certification within 12 months of hireEffective oral and written communication skills in the English Language.Visual and hearing senses must be adequate to assist with varied operative procedures and surgeon's verbal directives.Ability to perform effectively in fast paced, stressful environment. Required Licenses/Certifications: BLS certification from the American Heart Association RequiredACLS certification from the American Heart Association RequiredState of Florida Paramedic License ORForeign Medical Graduate with a State of Florida License ORSurgical Assitant/Surgical Technician CertificationCVT, CCT or ARRT Certification (within 12 months of hire) Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate in writing and orally with all levels of the organization.
