About this Job:
MedStar Health is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Cardiovascular Critical Care team at MedStar Washington Hospital Center, flagship of the MedStar Heart & Vascular Institute.
Practice at the top of your license in a high-acuity cardiovascular critical care environment alongside intensivists, cardiac surgeons, advanced heart failure specialists, and a multidisciplinary team.

What You'll Do
- Manage patients following cardiac and vascular surgery, as well as those with advanced heart failure, LVADs, ECMO, and complex cardiovascular critical illness
- Evaluate and manage shock, respiratory failure, heart failure, renal failure, and other critical illnesses
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and collaborate with intensivists, surgeons, specialists, and the ICU team
- Perform advanced bedside procedures including central venous and dialysis catheters, arterial lines, chest tubes, and thoracentesis
- Contribute to APP education, mentorship, quality improvement, and professional development
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited AGACNP or PA program with current national certification
- Current BLS and ACLS
- Minimum one year of APP experience in an ICU
- CVICU, CICU, cardiothoracic critical care, LVAD, ECMO, and advanced procedural experience preferred

This position has a hiring range of : USD $145,000.00 - USD $215,000.00 /Yr.
