This is a Cardiac Med-Surg RN opportunity at a 238-bed acute care hospital in Panama City, FL. The facility is certified in Advanced Primary Stroke Care, accredited as a Comprehensive Breast Care Center, and is the area's only Accredited Chest Pain Center with Primary PCI and Resuscitation. It is also home to the only Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, and Pediatric ER in the region.

The role. In this position, you will assess patient condition at admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and communicating any changes in status to the care team. You will carry out provider-ordered procedures and monitoring while maintaining thorough, timely documentation in the patient's medical record. Medication administration is a core responsibility, including monitoring for therapeutic response and taking appropriate action if an unintended response occurs. You will also play a key role in patient and family education, translating complex medical terminology into understandable language to ensure patients, families, and caregivers fully grasp the treatment plan, medications, potential side effects, and follow-up steps.

What we're looking for.

  • Associate Degree in Nursing (or higher)
  • Registered Nurse licensure required
  • Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license required. Compact license holders have 60 days to obtain the Florida license after relocation.
  • Acute care RN experience required; experience must be within the last 3 years, unless the candidate has several years of RN experience, in which case it may be within the last 5 years
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

Schedule. Nights with rotating weekends.

Compensation. $29.92 - $44.88/hr plus $4 sign-on bonus
