Cardiac Monitor Technician - Telemetry Unit

Location: Mercy Medical Center, Springfield, MA

Organization: Trinity Health Of New England

Schedule: Full-Time | 36 Hours | 12 hour day shift.. Flexible Start times between 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM. Every other weekend & holiday required.

About the Role

Join our compassionate and skilled team at Mercy Medical Center as a Cardiac Monitor Technician. In this vital role, you'll support physicians and nurses by providing continuous cardiac monitoring and accurate rhythm interpretation for patients with a variety of medical conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced ECG monitoring and interpret cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias.

  • Identify life-threatening arrhythmias and initiate emergency protocols.

  • Record rhythms during code situations and provide accurate interval measurements.

  • Troubleshoot monitoring equipment and resolve technical issues.

  • Educate patients and families to ensure transparency and understanding of care.

  • Support nursing staff and perform additional duties as assigned by the Nurse Manager.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • CPR/BLS certification required (American Heart Association accepted; American Red Cross preferred).

  • Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings.

  • Prior experience in cardiac monitoring or telemetry preferred.
