Job Summary

Cardiac RN

Full-time, 13 week Contract with option to extend

Pay: $2900-$3900 depending on if you want 36 or 48 hours a week.

Position: Level 4 RN Cardiac OR RNFA

Location: Rochester, NY

Start/End Date: 4/27/26 - 7/25/26

Schedule: 36or 48hr/wk, primarily weekdays 7a-7p and 11a-11p

Requirements: 2 years of cardiac RNFA experience, AHA BLS and ACLS, NY RN license, and CNOR certification


Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive cardiac nursing care to patients with acute and chronic conditions.

  • Monitor patient vital signs and promptly respond to critical changes.

  • Maintain accurate documentation and electronic medical records for all cardiac care.

  • Uphold infection control procedures and ensure patient safety standards.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient treatment plans.

  • Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures as needed.

  • Achieve targeted performance metrics and contribute to pipeline-based planning.

  • Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment, and post-discharge care.

  • Identify opportunities to improve care processes and contribute to quality initiatives.

  • Coordinate discharge planning to ensure seamless transitions and follow-up.

  • Mentor junior staff and participate in professional development activities.


Experience/Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse with current back-end cardiac specialty certification.

  • Proven experience in acute and chronic cardiac care nursing.

  • Proficient continuous cardiac monitoring and hemodynamic assessment.

  • Accurate documentation and EHR proficiency in cardiac care notes.

  • Infection control compliance and patient safety ownership.

  • Strong discharge planning and transition-of-care coordination.

  • Ability to assist physicians during diagnostic/interventional procedures.

  • Evidence of meeting performance targets and contributing to pipeline planning.

  • Effective patient and family education on diagnosis and post-discharge care.

  • Mentorship capabilities and commitment to professional development.
