Cardiac Sonographer

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Cardiac Sonographer (Echo Technologist) to perform high-quality cardiac ultrasound examinations in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will be proficient in comprehensive echocardiographic procedures and committed to delivering exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE).
• Perform and assist with transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE).
• Perform stress echocardiograms and Dobutamine Stress Echo studies.
• Obtain high-quality diagnostic images using established protocols.
• Document findings accurately within the electronic medical record.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the cardiovascular team to provide quality patient care.
• Maintain equipment and adhere to infection control and safety standards.
• Float to affiliated locations as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent Cardiac Sonographer (Echo Tech) experience.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current RDCS (ARDMS) or RCS (CCI) certification required.
• Advanced Cardiac Sonographer certification accepted if applicable.

Preferred Qualifications

• ACLS certification.
• PALS certification.
• IV management training.
• Experience with stress echocardiography and interventional cardiac procedures.

Patient Population

• Heart failure
• Cardiac diagnostic evaluations
• Chemotherapy cardiac monitoring
• Renal transplant evaluations

Schedule

• 8-hour night shifts (40 hours/week)
• Optional four 10-hour shifts
• Weekend and holiday rotation based on department needs
• No on-call requirements

Floating

• May be required to float to affiliated outpatient or satellite locations as needed.
