The Cardiovascular Department at Cambridge Health Alliance provides a full range of tests to evaluate the health of a patients heart and blood vessels. As an accredited facility, the lab utilizes state-of-the-art equipment for services including echocardiograms, electrocardiograms, various stress tests, and vascular testing. The lab also offers Holter and Cardiac event monitors and runs a device clinic for in-person and remote checks on pacemakers, defibrillators, and loop recorders. These services are available at two locations: Cambridge Hospital and Everett Hospital.

Performs a broad spectrum of non-invasive cardiovascular tests to provide medical specialists with data for diagnostic purposes. Performs a wide range of cardiovascular non-invasive tests according to an established protocol in a manner that effectively promotes and supports the efficient operation of the department, including:
• Cardiovascular 2D imaging • Color flow • Spectral display • Continuous and pulsed wave Doppler • Exercise/pharmacologic stress • Harmonics and contrast imaging • Holter scanning
Recognizes adequate vs inadequate data collection and prepares preliminary report in a form presentable for physician interpretation. Recognizes abnormalities and life-threatening findings and reports to physician or nursing unit as indicated. Documents notification as part of Quality Improvement activities.
