Job Description

Work Schedule > Monday - Friday, 730-400. No on call, no weekends, no holidays. 

The Cardiac Sonographer is responsible for performing echocardiographic techniques/procedures which assist physicians in the diagnosis of medical conditions in patients. This position requires participation in call rotation and call-back testing.EducationGraduate of a 2–4-year Allied Health training program required.ExperienceTwo (2) years training experience in cardiac sonography (echocardiography) preferred.Recent graduates of accredited sonography programs are encouraged to apply.Certification & LicensuresBLS Certification (Basic Life Support) - American Heart ‘Healthcare Provider’ (HCP) - AHA approved required *Requires registry by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) as a Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Advanced Cardiac Sonographer (ACS).* New hires must have American Heart Association (AHA) appropriate certification prior to completion of orientation.QualificationsMust be available for participation in call rotation and call back testing.Must have the physical, mental and technical skills necessary to perform diagnostic testing of all ages, neonatal through adult, as required.Ability to communicate with physicians, peers and patients on a professional and technical level.FLSA ClassificationNon-exemptPhysical Demands17 A Medical Technician/Other Technicians/Assistants
