DEFINITION OF POSITION A Registered Cardiac Sonographer who is responsible for performing echocardiograms, transthoracic echocardiograms, and stress tests.
QUALIFICATIONS Professional • Demonstrates competence as a Cardiac Sonographer. • Registered as RDCS or RCS • Must strive to continue the educational process to maintain current practices
WORKING CONDITIONS Good verbal/written skills are required.
Working Conditions: Generally comfortable surroundings. Extensive walking and standing. Variable work hours expected (4-12 shifts). Exposure to infectious diseases. Exposure to radiation. Moderate noise. Exposure to air borne particles. Exposure to caustic chemicals. Risk of electrical shock.
