What You'll Do
Perform high-quality echocardiograms to evaluate cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology.
Utilize cardiovascular ultrasound equipment to obtain and document diagnostic images in accordance with established guidelines and departmental standards.
Independently manage patient exams while ensuring a positive, compassionate, and professional patient experience.
Accurately record and communicate findings to support timely diagnosis and treatment planning.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other care team members to provide seamless patient care.
Maintain compliance with departmental policies, quality standards, and safety protocols.
Serve as an ambassador of the Wake Way by demonstrating respect, empathy, and service excellence in every interaction.
Who We're Looking For
An experienced Cardiac Sonographer with previous experience performing echocardiograms in a standalone Healthplex, freestanding emergency department, or outpatient cardiovascular setting, preferred.
A team player who partners effectively with providers and colleagues to achieve the best outcomes for patients.
A strong communicator who can build trust and rapport with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
A compassionate caregiver who consistently puts patients first and delivers care with empathy and professionalism.
A self-motivated professional who is comfortable working independently and exercising sound clinical judgment.

Requirements
Demonstrated proficiency in cardiovascular ultrasound imaging and echocardiographic procedures.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Registration and/or certification as a Cardiac Sonographer preferred per departmental requirements.
