Role Overview
As a Cardiac Sonographer, you will perform cardiac imaging procedures and support providers in delivering accurate diagnoses and high-quality patient care.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing cardiac ultrasound and Doppler diagnostic testing
- Assisting physicians and care teams during procedures
- Ensuring accurate image acquisition and adherence to clinical protocols
- Supporting clinical operations and workflow within the cardiology team
- Maintaining equipment and ensuring proper functionality
- Providing patient support and ensuring a positive experience during procedures
- Maintaining documentation and compliance with clinical standards
- Performing other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education
Required:
- Technical training in cardiovascular technology, sonography, or ultrasound
Preferred:
- Associate's degree in a related science field
Experience
Preferred:
- Experience in echocardiology
Licensure / Certification
Required:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- One of the following within one (1) year:
- RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer)
- RCS (Registered Cardiac Sonographer)
