NonInvasive LabJob Summary
Under general supervision, performs quality cardiac ultrasound examinations using non-invasive cardiovascular technology equipment to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with heart and blood vessel conditions. Uses cognitive sonographer skills to identify, record, and adapt procedures as appropriate to anatomical, pathological, diagnostic information and images. Analyzes ultrasounds, synthesizes sonography information and medical history, and communicates findings to the appropriate physician. Practices sound safety and infection control practices according to agency policies and procedures; identifies safety and infection control issues. Performs quality control on appropriate systems and equipment. Provides a safe environment for all patients, assuring proper patient positioning and patient care throughout the patient stay. Promotes quality care by redefining priorities for care based on evaluation of patient/family response or changing condition.
