Position Summary:
Perform high-quality transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE) in accordance with physician orders and established protocols
Obtain and record diagnostic-quality images of cardiac structures, function, and blood flow
Evaluate cardiac anatomy and physiology including chambers, valves, wall motion, and hemodynamics
Measure and calculate cardiac structures and function (e.g., EF, valve gradients, Doppler measurements)
Recognize abnormal findings and notify interpreting physicians of urgent results
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
Ensure proper operation and maintenance of ultrasound equipment
Follow infection control, safety, and quality assurance standards
Provide compassionate patient care and education before, during, and after procedures
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff
Position Qualification:
Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) through American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography
