Position Summary:

  • Perform high-quality transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE) in accordance with physician orders and established protocols

  • Obtain and record diagnostic-quality images of cardiac structures, function, and blood flow

  • Evaluate cardiac anatomy and physiology including chambers, valves, wall motion, and hemodynamics

  • Measure and calculate cardiac structures and function (e.g., EF, valve gradients, Doppler measurements)

  • Recognize abnormal findings and notify interpreting physicians of urgent results

  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)

  • Ensure proper operation and maintenance of ultrasound equipment

  • Follow infection control, safety, and quality assurance standards

  • Provide compassionate patient care and education before, during, and after procedures

  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff

Position Qualification:

Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) through American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography
