St. Josephs Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Cardiac Surgery program at St. Josephs Hospital in Syracuse, NY. This is a non operative advanced practitioner role within a collaborative cardiothoracic surgery team delivering high quality, patient centered care.
Position Details
- Complete daily rounds with the Cardiothoracic Surgery (CTS) team caring for cardiac surgery patients primarily in the step down unit
- Participate in one weekend per month rounding rotation with the opportunity to cross train to the ICU
- Manage admissions including transfers from outside facilities and the emergency department
- Finalize patient discharges including patient education, care coordination with nursing staff, rehabilitation, etc.
- No call requirements

Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
- NYS licensure
- DEA certification

Compensation
- Compensation range: $135,538-$181,792
- $5,000 Starting Bonus
- $5,000 Relocation Bonus (if live 50 mile outside Syracuse)
