Job Description
St. Josephs Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Cardiac Surgery program in the ICU at St. Josephs Hospital in Syracuse, NY. This is a non operative advanced practitioner role within a high-volume cardiothoracic surgery team delivering high quality, patient centered care.
Position Details
- Complete daily rounds with the Cardiothoracic Surgery (CTS) team caring for post operative patients primarily in the ICU
- Participate in one weekend per month rounding on the step down unit
- Manage admissions including transfers from outside facilities and the emergency department
- No call requirements

Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
- NYS licensure
- DEA certification
- ACLS/BLS
- New graduates welcome, especially those with relevant clinical rotations or a strong interest in cardiac surgery
Compensation
- Compensation range: $124,800.00 - $174,033.39
- Plus evening and night shift differentials
- Extra shift pay
