Pay Rate: $40/hr on w2
Openings: 1 Full-Time Position
Prepare and maintain the sterile field and surgical instruments specific to cardiac surgery.
Assist surgeons during cardiac procedures by passing instruments, managing equipment, and anticipating surgeon needs.
Set up and troubleshoot surgical equipment and supplies prior to and during surgery.
Ensure compliance with infection control, safety standards, and hospital protocols.
Assist with patient positioning and transfer to the operating room as needed.
Maintain accurate documentation of surgical supplies used and equipment status.
Participate in team briefings, debriefings, and quality improvement initiatives.
Mentor and train junior surgical techs as required.
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required.
Level 4 competency or equivalent experience in cardiac surgical technology preferred.
Prior experience in cardiac surgery or complex surgical procedures strongly preferred.
Knowledge of sterile techniques and surgical instrumentation.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends as necessary.
