Performs 2-D M-mode color flow mapping cardiac Doppler echocardiography tests and vascular exams on the adult and geriatric patient population. Responsible for maintaining performance improvement documentation in cardiac and ultrasound in accordance with IAC.
Required Credentials:
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) from American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) • Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) • Canadian Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CRCS) from Sonography Canada • Advanced Cardiac Sonographer (ACS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
Additional Credentials:
• Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) from American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) • Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) • Registered Technologist in Vascular Sonography (RS) through American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
Education and Experience:
Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support.
Professional Development:
Membership in professional society or societies related to the field of sonography.
Education Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited sonography or cardiovascular technology program.
