Role Overview
As a Cardiac-Vascular Sonographer, you will perform both cardiac and vascular ultrasound studies while supporting providers in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular conditions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing cardiac and vascular ultrasound/Doppler diagnostic testing
- Obtaining high-quality images and diagnostic studies
- Assisting physicians and healthcare professionals during patient evaluations
- Ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and imaging standards
- Supporting all aspects of clinical care related to cardiovascular imaging
- Maintaining imaging equipment and ensuring operational readiness
- Providing exceptional patient care and education throughout the testing process
- Maintaining accurate documentation and reporting
- Functioning independently with minimal supervision
Qualifications
Education
Required:
- Technical School completion in Echocardiography, Ultrasound, or related cardiovascular imaging program
Preferred:
Experience
Required:
- Two (2) years of ultrasound experience specializing in both Cardiac and Vascular imaging
Preferred:
- Five (5) years of ultrasound experience
Licensure / Certification
Required:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) OR Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS)
- Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) OR Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS)
- Required cardiac and vascular registry credentials must be obtained within one (1) year of hire if not currently held
