**Job Summary and Responsibilities**
As our Cardiac Nurse, you'll care for patients who may have life-threatening cardiac events or conditions while helping their families navigate daily care and the long-term plan for healing and maintenance outside of the hospital. **Franciscan Medical Group, part of Virginia Mason Franciscan Health, is currently seeking a full time Clinic RN-Cardio for our Franciscan Heart and Vascular Associates in Tacoma, WA. This position is full time with no weekends, nights or organizationally recognized holidays required.**
You'll never have the same day twice as your patients' needs evolve. That's why you must be adaptable and detail-oriented, observing vitals and reporting the warning signs early to our multidisciplinary team of cardiologists, EKG techs, and other cardiovascular professionals.

+ Administers and monitors cardiovascular stress tests using imaging, IV therapy, and EKG interpretation, ensuring patient safety.
+ Performs diagnostic procedures, carefully monitoring patient vitals and discontinuing studies as needed based on protocols and findings.
+ Prepares patients for procedures, including obtaining history, explaining protocols, and administering necessary IVs and medications.
+ Manages patient pre- and post-procedure care, including wound assessment, providing instructions, and coordinating instructions for device implantations.
+ Triage patients based on direct contact or phone, assessing complex health problems, and making recommendations for clinic visits, ER referrals, or physician intervention.
+ Collaborates with providers to review diagnostic data, administer medications, adjust treatments, and thoroughly document all patient interactions and procedures in the EMR.

+ Graduation from an accredited school of nursing approved by the Washington State Board of Nursing and Two years of related work experience that would demonstrate attainment of the requisite job knowledge/abilities, upon hire and

$45.58 - $75.89 /hour
