Summary
Reports to the Manager, or Director of Cardiovascular Services. Monitors, evaluates and improves the quality of practice and standards in a designated cardiology specialty area. Serves as an inventory control, educator and resource person for a specific patient population and nursing/technical team members. Assesses the educational needs of staff and acts to meet these needs. Enhances clinical practice through quality improvement projects and cost efficiency programs. Evaluates and maintains inventories at appropriate levels, and coordinates distribution of supplies through an inventory process or system. Procures and receives supplies from vendors and resolves backorder issues with appropriate substitutions. Works collaboratively with others to support the goals of the department.
