Position Overview:

The ideal candidate will deliver comprehensive coronary interventional cardiology services, focusing on complex PCI and high-risk interventions, within a collaborative, high-volume academic setting. A background or strong enthusiasm for CHIP procedures, mechanical circulatory support, and peripheral arterial interventions is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide inpatient and outpatient care.
  • Engage in multidisciplinary conferences.
  • Participate in shared interventional cardiology call coverage, with equitable distribution among faculty, primarily centered on coronary interventions and acute cardiovascular care.
  • Deliver clinical services at the main academic medical center and participate in satellite hospitals and outpatient clinics within the health system.
  • Support procedural growth and enhance patient access while ensuring strong academic and operational alignment with the main campus.
  • Teach fellows, residents, and medical students.
  • Engage in clinical research, quality initiatives, and program development.
Qualifications:
  • MD or DO degree (or equivalent).
  • Board certification/eligibility in Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology.
  • Completion of a fellowship in Interventional Cardiology.
  • Expertise or a demonstrated interest in complex coronary intervention (CHIP).
  • Preference for interest in peripheral vascular interventions.
  • A strong passion for academic medicine, teaching, and clinical excellence.
Compensation and Benefits:

Alongside an academic appointment within the School of Medicine, we provide a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package, which includes paid malpractice insurance and relocation assistance.

This role offers avenues for leadership, clinical advancement, and a significant opportunity to contribute to the growth of advanced coronary and peripheral interventional services across an integrated academic health system.

Located in Southern California between Los Angeles and Palm Springs, this region, known as the Inland Empire, offers easy access to beaches, skiing, hiking, and various outdoor activities.
