Responsibilities


Dignity Health Medical Group - Sierra Nevada is seeking a Board Certified (or board-eligible) General Cardiologist to serve our patients in picturesque Grass Valley, CA.


+ Non- or limited-invasive, non-interventional general cardiology care for adult patients in our outpatient clinic and at our community hospital

+ Provide general cardiology care 3-4 days per week in our outpatient cardiology clinic

+ No required night coverage/call!

+ Implant pacemakers and loop recorders (not required skills)

+ Perform Cardioversion

+ Read echoes, Holter monitors, stress tests, and EKGs

+ 1:4 shared hospital call

+ No outpatient clinic on hospital call day

+ Round on inpatients

+ Consult with ED and Hospitalists

+ Oversee the hospital’s cardiology lab

+ Perform TEE's (required skill)

Compensation Range: $475,000 - $550,000 / Year


Note on living arrangements (No required night coverage/night call):


While we love living and working in our beautiful mountain town, we also recognize that small town life is not for everyone. Grass Valley (population: 14,000) is unique in that one can choose to live and work in Nevada County, or one could choose to live in the greater Sacramento area and make the short drive up the hill to Grass Valley. Auburn, CA, (pop: 14,000) is 35 minutes away, and Rocklin (pop: 76,000) and Roseville (pop: 160,000) are about 45 minutes from Grass Valley. Either way, you can avoid traffic by living in Grass Valley, or by living near Roseville and driving the opposite direction of most traffic!


Qualifications


+ A valid and unrestricted California medical license

+ Board eligible or board certified in specified area of medical specialty (ABMS or AOA)

+ Completion of an accredited post-graduate training program
