A premier hospital is seeking an experienced Cardiothoracic Surgeon for a locum assignment covering a 3 6 month period with potential extension . This is a high-acuity, hospital-based role with opportunities to manage complex cardiac cases and participate in multidisciplinary care.
Schedule & Coverage:
Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
Nights and weekends rotation (approx. 7 8 calls/month)
Trauma Level: Level I
3 operating rooms with an annual ER volume of 85,000
Key Responsibilities:
Perform surgeries including CABG, Off-Pump CABG, Heart Valve Repair/Replacement, Aortic Aneurysm Repair, Redo Coronary Revascularization, Tube Thoracostomy, Pericardial Window, CoreValve System, and Mitral Valve Repair
Manage ICU, ER, and inpatient rounds
Collaborate with a full complement of support staff for adult and geriatric patients
Utilize EPIC EMR for documentation
Requirements:
Board Certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery
Active Connecticut license
BLS and ACLS certification
