Cardiothoracic Surgeon - Kansas

Minimum 6 months, least 2 weeks a month that includes weekdays • FTE expectation: Locum 2 weeks a month requested (willing to consider more or less) • Call requirements: Shared CTS call coverage (details to be specified – e.g., 1:3 or 1:4 rotation)

 Primarily inpatient with OR and clinic responsibilities • Program: Established or growing Cardiothoracic Surgery program within Cardiovascular Service Line • Team structure: Surgeons, APP support (NP/PA), perfusionists, dedicated OR and CVICU teams • Case mix: CABG, valve, and other adult cardiac procedures; vascular, thoracic and TAVR, etc. • Call expectations and weekend coverage defined by program needs

Ideal Candidate Description: • Strong technical proficiency in adult cardiac surgery (CABG, valve, open procedures) • Collaborative, team-oriented approach with surgeons, APPs, anesthesia, and ICU teams - • Commitment to patient safety, quality outcomes, and HRO principles • Ability to work in a developing or growing CTS program environment with potential need to assist with APP education • Effective communication and leadership within multidisciplinary care teams • Interest in clinical program development, quality improvement, and long-term service line growth
