Standard cardiothoracic surgical equipment and support systems are in place to ensure optimal outcomes for surgical patients. About the Facility Location Washington State offers clinicians on assignment access to a range of regional attractions and outdoor recreation opportunities throughout the state. The region provides year-round activities, including access to natural landscapes, coastal areas, mountain terrain, and forested environments. Clinicians may explore diverse outdoor destinations across the state during their assignment. About the Clinician's Workday The nurse practitioner will provide inpatient cardiothoracic surgery coverage during night shifts and 24-hour call at an on-site facility in Washington. Required procedures include general CV/thoracic surgery (open), coronary artery bypass surgery on pump, and valvular repair and replacement. Preferred procedures include aneurysm repair (cardiac and aorto-thoracic), lung resection including VATS, chest wall or pleural procedures, left ventricular assist devices, ventilation management, evaluation and management of acute volume and blood pressure issues, and insertion of central lines. Board certification is required for this assignment.
