Job Description

The Department of Surgery, Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery, is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Nurse Practitioner - Specialty Care or Physician Assistant - Specialty Care to join our team. This role will function as a key clinical partner and physician extender, collaborating closely with cardiothoracic surgeons to deliver high-quality patient care across multiple care settings.
Position Overview:
The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will provide comprehensive care to cardiothoracic surgery patients throughout the continuum of care, including pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative phases. This position offers a dynamic practice environment spanning outpatient clinics, inpatient units, the intensive care unit (ICU), and the operating room, where the APP will serve as a first assist.

Shift
Monday - Friday
8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Shifts and hours will vary based on department needs.
Minimum Qualifications
Master of Science in Nursing degree.
Missouri Board of Nursing RN or Nurse Licensure Compact multi-state RN. When primary state of residency changes, compact state RNs must apply under new state of residency within thirty (30) days.
Must be granted a "Document of Recognition" from the Missouri Board of Nursing.
Preferred Qualifications
Credentials: Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (or eligible for licensure)
Years of Experience: Experience in cardiothoracic surgery, critical care, or a related specialty preferred.
Anticipated Hiring Range
Salary Range: $108,971.20 - $177,590.40 annually
Grade: PAT - 014
