Cardiothoracic / Open Heart Surgery Physician Assistant in Miami, FL

Position Information:

• Full-time position with a 7:00am–3:30pm schedule
• First assist in open heart / cardiac surgery procedures
• Perform surgical procedures in the OR under direct surgeon supervision
• Conduct patient assessments, order/interpret diagnostic tests, and develop care plans
• Manage patients in pre-, intra-, and post-operative settings
• Perform inpatient rounding, consultations, wound care, and bedside procedures
• Manage outpatient clinic including procedures, patient/family education, and grand rounds participation
• Provide on-call coverage including weekdays, nights, and weekends

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree required
• Minimum 5 years of APP experience
• National PA certification and active DEA license
• BLS and ACLS certification
• Experience in endoscopic vein harvesting
• Medical staff credentialing and privileges

Additional Information:

Open to candidates willing to relocate.
