This 633-bed Level I Trauma Center is located north of Atlanta and provides cardiothoracic surgical services across inpatient and clinic settings. The facility utilizes EPIC EMR for clinical documentation and care coordination throughout all assigned coverage periods. On-site APP support staff are in place to facilitate continuity of care during the locum coverage assignment.

Georgia offers a range of outdoor and cultural pursuits suited to varied interests across the state. Clinicians on assignment may explore opportunities such as hiking to waterfalls, whitewater rafting, fishing, horseback riding, kayaking, and scenic railway rides, as well as pontoon boat rentals and treetop canopy adventures. The state further provides options for arts, entertainment, and local experiences including winery tours, art exhibits, and live events across destinations such as Atlanta, Augusta, Savannah, and Blue Ridge.

Clinicians will provide cardiothoracic surgery coverage across inpatient and clinic settings on a day shift basis, with clinic hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and hospital hours from 5:30 AM to 6:30 PM; no call is required. Clinical responsibilities include endoscopic vein harvesting, first assisting, sternal chest closure, and preferably CVICU experience, with an estimated patient volume of 10-20 patients per shift and 4-6 consults per day. A minimum of 4-5 years of cardiac surgery experience in the OR is required, along with demonstrated endoscopic vein harvesting proficiency. All clinical documentation must be maintained through the EPIC EMR system.
