Duties & Responsibilities
  • First assist in Cardiothoracic surgeries, including vein harvesting
  • Round on inpatients, assess health status, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and write prescriptions
  • Perform pre-operative physical exams and post-operative care (chest tube removal, pacing wire removal, wound care)
  • Collaborate with attending surgeons and multidisciplinary team on treatment plans
  • Respond to emergencies, perform CPR, and follow ACLS protocols; maintain thorough documentation
