Job Title: Cardiovascular Cath Lab Tech

Shift: Day Shift – 7:00 AM–6:30 PM
Schedule: 4 days/week, 10 hrs/day, 40 hrs/week, Weekend required as needed, Holiday required (1 summer and 1 winter), On-call required (minimum 7 shifts, maximum 10), No floating required
Pay Range: $72-$76/hr.
Schedule Notes:
- Permanent pacemaker placement experience is preferred
- Usage of Impella and balloon pump required
- Mac Lab experience preferred
- EPIC preferred

Work Setting: Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory / Acute Care Hospital
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Cardiac Cath required
- Must have prior experience in a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory or invasive procedure area in an acute care hospital
- 6–12 months during CVT accredited program or 2 years in another cardiac vascular laboratory
- Familiarity with computers, hemodynamic monitoring, and sterile operative techniques
- Experience with Impella and balloon pump required
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Permanent pacemaker placement experience preferred
- Mac Lab experience preferred
- EPIC preferred
- BS preferred
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent
Required Certifications & Licensure:
- BLS
- Radiology certification
Job Summary:
- Assists physicians with procedures including Cardiac Catheterization, Angioplasty, Atherectomy, TEC, Rotablator, Valvuloplasty, Intra-vascular Ultrasound, Pulmonary Angiograms, insertion of intra-aortic balloon pumps and stents, and other evolving cardiovascular procedures and technologies.
Duties:
- Prepares sterile trays and organizes equipment for procedures
- Prepares patients prior to procedures and assists with monitoring setup
- Calibrates and tests transducers for accurate pressure readings
- Assists physicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures
- Loads and operates power injector
- Maintains digital cine technologies and patient image/hemodynamic records
- Ensures proper downloading and storage of patient imaging records
- Assists in emergency supportive measures to maintain patient stability
- Assists in sheath removal and vascular closure device insertion
- Assists with inventory control and equipment maintenance/calibration
- Lifts a minimum of 40 lbs., pushes/pulls a minimum of 100 lbs., and stands a minimum of 4 hours daily
- Delivers patient care appropriate to age, culture, language, and communication needs
- Adheres to Medical Center organizational competencies and standards
