Job Summary: Under the direction of a Cardiologist, Radiologist, Surgeon, or Director-CVS performs Interventional Radiology and Invasive Cardiac Cath Lab procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Performs a variety of technical specified procedures including procedural scrub assist, hemodynamic monitoring, fluoroscopy image technique, radiation safety, and/or may be assigned other duties.
Qualifications
- Current California Radiologic Technologist License.
- Satisfactory completion of a formal Radiologic Technology training program in an AMA approved school and meets the requirements for registry by the ARRT.
- Four (4) years experience as a Radiologic Technologist in an acute care hospital.
- Two (2) years recent experience as an Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab Tech III / or Interventional Radiology Tech III. Cardiac Cath Lab Interventional experience preferred.
- Valid Fluoroscopy License.
Physical requirements: must have adequate back and general health to wear personal protective equipment, including but not limited to lead apron, protective glasses, etc. during procedures.
- Current BLS Certification
- Current ACLS Certification (completion date- prior to 90th day of employment)
- Completion of basic 12-lead EKG class (completion date- prior to 90th day of employment) as required.
