Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Cardiovascular Nurse Practitioner at CHI St. Vincent Medical Group at the Heart and Vascular Center, you will join our dynamic Nuclear Medicine Department in Hot Springs. You will play a crucial role in performing stress tests and providing comprehensive patient assessment and management, contributing to accurate cardiac diagnoses and effective patient care plans.


In your practice, you will work within a collaborative team, utilizing your expertise to deliver high-quality diagnostic and patient care within a specialized setting. This includes taking responsibility for clearly communicating patient needs, care plans, and problem resolution to physicians and other healthcare teams, as well as providing clinical support for physicians in satellite clinics as needed.

To be successful in this role, you will be a skilled and compassionate Cardiovascular Nurse Practitioner committed to providing high quality comprehensive care within a community focused practice. In your role, you will:

  • Perform and oversee pharmacological and exercise stress tests in the Nuclear Medicine Department.
  • Accurately assess patient conditions, provide comprehensive patient assessments, and establish accurate diagnoses.
  • Independently develop and implement treatment plans, evaluate patient outcomes, and seek physician consultation as needed.
  • Interpret stress test results, communicate findings to the supervising physician, and manage potential complications during testing.
  • Educate patients and caregivers about stress test procedures, post-test care, and involve them in treatment planning.
  • Provide interface between the clinic and other providers to assure timely, comprehensive services for patients.

Job Requirements

Required:

  • Certified Nurse Practitioner active or eligible license in the state of Arkansas.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification.

Preferred:

  • Demonstrated experience in performing and interpreting stress tests (pharmacological and exercise) is highly desirable.
  • 2 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner, with significant experience in cardiology or a related critical care/emergency setting.
  • Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills, particularly in cardiovascular assessment.
