Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Cardiovascular Technician to join a high-volume Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory. In this role, you will assist physicians during invasive cardiovascular procedures, monitor patient hemodynamics, operate specialized cardiac equipment, and help ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care throughout all procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Assist physicians during cardiac catheterization and other invasive cardiovascular procedures.
Monitor patient blood pressure and hemodynamic status throughout procedures.
Interpret intracardiac pressure waveforms and report significant changes.
Record pressure readings from all requested cardiac chambers.
Maintain accurate procedural documentation within the Cardiac Cath Lab information system.
Calibrate and operate specialized Cath Lab equipment, including cardiac output, ACT, and blood oxygen monitoring systems.
Provide physicians with catheters, guidewires, balloons, stents, and other interventional devices during procedures.
Analyze procedural data and generate reports as required.
Set up, calibrate, and monitor intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) systems.
Assist during emergency situations, including defibrillation, external pacing, suctioning, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
Operate power injectors for contrast media administration.
Prepare and maintain sterile fields throughout procedures.
Prepare procedure rooms and enter patient information into the Cath Lab system.
Assist with patient transport and ensure Cath Lab equipment and supplies remain organized and functional.
Stay current with new technologies, equipment, and procedural techniques.
