Job Summary:

The Care Advocate Supervisor is responsible for first level of response and provide resolution to escalated issues to ensure high level customer service. This will be dedicated to the delivery of benefits and services provided to Health Plan members, Potential New Members, employer groups, brokers, insurance carriers, providers, and their office staff.

As we expand our footprint in Nevada, Florida and Texas, we're looking for an organized, self-starter individual who understands how to navigate a shifting software stack, complex subject matter and a team working on-premises and remotely. Compassion and passion to help others is needed for this position.

Supervisors are responsible to manage and be accountable for a group of Care Advocates by setting priorities for the team to ensure tasks are completed and the team is performing accordingly by providing coaching, feedback, and annual performance reviews as well as formal corrective action.

Qualifications

Qualifications and Requirements:
  • At least two years of healthcare management experience including increasing levels of responsibility preferred.
  • At least two years' experience working with health plans insurance products or employer healthcare benefits programs preferred.
  • At least two years of experience in customer service with proven ability to de-escalate situations and provide resolution to customer issues preferred.
  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of State and Federal regulations as they pertain to the health insurance industry.
  • Previous call center management experience preferred.
  • Previous experience reviewing and analyzing statistical data to identify trends as well as potential problems/opportunities for improved service quality.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as public speaking and training abilities and experience.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Knowledge of various computer systems including all Microsoft Office systems, Outlook, and budgetary, time and attendance type software systems.
  • Strong processes improvement skills necessary to get things done
  • Knows how to organize people and activities
  • Understands how to separate and combine tasks into efficient work flow
  • Knows what to measure and how to measure it
  • Can see opportunities for synergy and integration where others can't
