Schedule Details/Additional Information:

Monday through Friday 8-430 with the occasional early/late or weekend shift for events. Certified Medical Assistant preferred

Pay Range:

$21.85 - $32.80

Major Responsibilities

  • Completes referrals for patients and coordinates with referring and receiving practices/departments.

  • Confirm patient eligibility for screening exams through pertinent screening guideline requirements, completes screening orders, and schedules screening.

  • Coordinate and prepare financial estimates for patients as needed.

  • Obtains insurance authorizations as needed.

  • Coordinates and schedules procedures, diagnostic testing, or other services within various departments with internal and ancillary providers.

  • Reviews, schedules, and confirms schedules are accurate and time is properly allocated.

  • Follows up on all referrals to ensure no care gaps.

  • Available to help with promotion activities (i.e. health fairs, outreach, and information sessions).

  • Participates on committees and special task forces as requested.

  • Conducts patient interviews, vital sign recording, and meticulous documentation.

  • Sets up examination rooms and complies with infection prevention policies.

  • Coordinates clinic and provider schedules.

Minimum Job Requirements

Education

High School Diploma or GED required.

Certification / License

Work Experience

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

Computer experience required. Thorough understanding of Insurance coverage (FSC/Coverage/Plan types) and Medical Necessity policies for pertinent screening and diagnostic exams and procedures preferred. Knowledge of medical records software preferred. Customer service experience required.
