Overview:

This is a fast-paced, multi-tasking role where no two days look the same, and where your ability to stay organized, follow through, and take ownership makes a direct impact on patients and the clinical team.

Responsibilities:
- Create a welcoming, professional first impression for patients, visitors, and referral sources
- Handle front desk operations including patient check-in, check-out, scheduling, insurance verification/authorization, and phone calls
- Review, schedule, and follow up on incoming referrals by gathering information, creating or updating patient records, and helping patients understand next steps
- Keep patient flow and schedules moving by confirming appointments, working waitlists, filling cancellations, and following up with patients who need future visits
- Collect copays, balances, and other patient payments accurately and professionally, including basic payment tracking or reconciliation when needed
- Protect patient privacy and uphold HIPAA standards in all front desk interactions and documentation
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- At least one year of experience in a customer-facing or patient-facing role, this could include retail, hospitality, call center, medical reception, or any setting where you regularly interacted with the public in person or over the phone
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks at once while staying organized and detail-oriented
- Comfortable and confident communicating on the phone, including handling incoming calls with patience and professionalism
- Basic computer proficiency: comfortable learning new systems, navigating scheduling software, sending emails, and working in spreadsheets
- No prior medical experience required — we provide comprehensive training including EMR navigation, insurance fundamentals, scheduling workflows, and phone etiquette
