Job SummaryWe are seeking a Care Engagement Specialist I to support member outreach, care coordination, and preventive health initiatives. In this role, you will engage members by phone, schedule preventive care appointments, educate members on available health plan benefits, and help remove barriers to receiving care. This is a fast-paced, member-focused position with a direct impact on improving health outcomes.
Top Required SkillsOutbound call center or member outreach experience.
Strong documentation and data entry skills while navigating multiple systems.
Experience scheduling appointments and coordinating healthcare or community resources.
Community Health Worker (CHW) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) experience.
Healthcare, insurance, customer service, or member services background.
Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus.
Experience working remotely.
Ability to multitask across multiple computer screens while maintaining quality member conversations.
Conduct outbound and inbound calls to members regarding preventive care and health plan services.
Schedule primary care and preventive screening appointments.
Educate members on available benefits, wellness programs, and preventive care services.
Assist members in completing Health Needs Screenings and addressing barriers to care.
Document all member interactions accurately across multiple systems.
Coordinate follow-up activities and connect members with appropriate healthcare or community resources.
Support quality improvement initiatives and outreach campaigns.
Serve as a secondary resource for Member and Provider Services when needed.
High School diploma or GED required.
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in outbound calling, customer service, member services, healthcare support, or a call center environment.
Experience working in a remote environment is preferred.
Prior healthcare outreach or care coordination experience is highly desirable.
The ideal candidate is confident speaking with members, builds rapport quickly, and can handle conversations naturally without relying on a script. They are organized, detail-oriented, comfortable multitasking across multiple systems, and able to accurately document information while maintaining engaging conversations.
Additional RequirementsMust be eligible to work on a W-2 basis.
No Corp-to-Corp (C2C) arrangements.
Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship.
