Position Overview

The Care Staffing Coordinator manages Memory Care and Assistant Living staffing, schedules caregivers, and provides hands-on support for residents. This role is ideal for a compassionate, organized, and experienced caregiver or nursing professional who enjoys mentoring and leading a team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct resident care 60–80% of the time, especially during meals

  • Train, mentor, and oversee Memory Care caregivers

  • Conduct weekly in-service training and performance observation

  • Manage scheduling and staffing needs, covering shifts as required

  • Monitor and maintain nursing supplies and documentation

  • Audit flow sheets and ensure proper record keeping

  • Assist residents with transfers, activities, and daily routines

  • Communicate effectively with staff, residents, and families

  • Report suspected abuse, neglect, or safety concerns immediately

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred

  • 3+ years in a related care giving or healthcare role

  • CNA 

  • Food Handler’s Permit (within 14 days), CPR & First Aid, Dementia & Mental Health training

  • Strong skills in multitasking, leadership, scheduling, and resident care

Physical Requirements

  • Lift up to 50 lbs; push 250 lb resident or equipment
  • Sit, stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive arm/hand movements throughout the shift
