 Childcare Advisor (Customer Support / Case Management)

 Location: Houston, TX (Onsite)
 Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
 Duration: Contract Assignment, up to 4 months
 Employment Type: Temporary

 

Position Overview

We are seeking a Childcare Advisor to join a high-volume support center environment, providing case management and customer service to families seeking childcare solutions. This role serves as the primary point of contact for parents and guardians, offering guidance through childcare options, eligibility requirements, and funding application processes.

 

This position requires a strong balance of customer service, attention to detail, and administrative accuracy in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

Customer Engagement & Support

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for parents and guardians, managing inquiries from initial contact through resolution
  • Deliver a high-quality customer experience across phone, email, and chat channels
  • Handle high volumes of inbound and outbound communications while meeting performance and quality standards


Case Management & Application Support

  • Conduct eligibility assessments and collect accurate customer information
  • Guide customers through childcare funding applications, ensuring all required documentation is obtained and validated
  • Process a high volume of applications accurately and in a timely manner following established guidelines
  • Maintain ongoing support throughout the customer lifecycle, including onboarding, approval, and program completion


Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain detailed, accurate, and compliant case notes within internal systems
  • Ensure adherence to confidentiality, data protection, and organizational policies
  • Support quality assurance reviews, audits, and compliance initiatives


Customer Experience & Continuous Improvement

  • Use empathy and active listening to support families navigating childcare needs
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend enhancements
  • Maintain knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local regulations impacting childcare and support services

 

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong customer service experience in a high-volume environment
  • Excellent communication and active listening skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining productivity standards


Preferred

  • Post-secondary education in business, human services, or related field
  • Experience in case management, social services, call center, or government program support
  • Familiarity with eligibility programs, benefits administration, or workforce services

 

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Experience with CRM systems, case management platforms, or data entry systems
  • Ability to navigate multiple systems simultaneously with accuracy and efficiency
