SUMMARY: Candidate will assist licensed CTE instructor(s) in the shop and related theory classroom in providing a well-organized, smoothly functioning class environment in which students can take full advantage of the CTE program. Knowledge of the competencies and skills required of students in Automotive Technology is essential. Candidate will help to provide a safe and supportive educational environment for all students and staff as well as providing classroom support to teachers and students. The candidate will have an understanding of curriculum development, student learning styles and possess the ability to work with all students in assisting the licensed CTE instructor in delivering quality programming to prepare the students to meet the demands of the modern workplace.

While performing the duties of this job, the teacher is frequently required to walk, stand, sit, talk, and hear. The teacher is regularly required to bend, stoop, crouch and/or kneel. The teacher is occasionally required to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 25 pounds. Must have sufficient mobility to navigate within a large school building.
