Career Coach (Pathways to Employment) Location: West Palm Beach, FL Schedule: Full-time | M-F 9am–5pm (occasional evenings/weekends) Organization: Vita Nova, Inc. Why Join Vita Nova? We offer a collaborative environment where you can gain valuable experience in youth services and career development. Position Summary:Vita Nova is seeking a compassionate and motivated Career Coach to support young adults (ages 18–24) by providing career planning, life skills development, and job readiness training. In this role, you will work at the Spot drop-in center and in the community to guide young adults toward education, employment, and stability. Key Responsibilities:Assist youth in exploring careers and building job-readiness skills to obtain employment and improve access to post-secondary and vocational training opportunitiesDevelop individualized career plans and address barriers to employmentProvide supportive case management and life skills coachingConduct pre/post tests to ensure youth gain employability skills are workforce readyConnect youth to employment, education, and support servicesFacilitate group workshops and partner with employers and agenciesAssist youth in attending job interviews or appointments, completing training, or accessing benefits and other services in the communityTrack progress and outcomes using HMIS and internal documentation systems Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in social services or related field preferred1+ year experience working with youth or young adults preferredKnowledge of trauma-informed care and positive youth developmentUnderstanding of PBC homelessness system a plusStrong documentation and client engagement skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and general computer literacyExcellent written and oral communication skillsReliable transportation with a valid FL driver's license and ability to join company insurance policy.Must pass drug screen and a Level 2 background check through DCF Clearinghouse: https://info.flclearinghouse.com (Existing DCF Exemption Waivers will be considered) What We Offer:Competitive Pay with annual Cost of Living AdjustmentsAccess to Employee Assistance Program (EAP) BenefitsComprehensive Health Coverage: Medical, dental, and vision with significant employer contributions, including 100% employer-paid plan optionsGeneral Paid Time Off, including holidays, PTO days, sick & vacation accruals, and birthday leaveRetirement Planning: Option to participate in 401(k) plan after one year of employment Apply today and help change the path for young people facing homelessness.
