Hourly Career Major Tutor Culinary Arts

Location: Burlington County Institute of Technology Medford Campus

Position Summary

• BCIT is seeking a dedicated Hourly Career Major Tutor in the area of Culinary Arts. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma (required), with some college coursework preferred, and relevant vocational certification or work experience in culinary arts. This individual must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills and a passion for supporting student success in hands-on, career-focused education.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (required)
• Some college credits (preferred)
• Vocational certificate and/or relevant training or work experience in Culinary Arts
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to support students individually and in small groups

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with assigned instructors to support student learning
• Provide one-on-one and small group tutoring to reinforce course content and practical skills
• Help students strengthen their understanding of the Culinary Arts related careers

Salary

• Hourly Rate Equivalent Annual Range: $32,066 $38,751 (Commensurate with hours worked, education, and experience)

Additional Information

• Required criminal history background check
• Proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status required
• Must establish NJ residency within one year of hire
