Student Career Mentor (College of Science)
Looking for a flexible, meaningful student job that will help you build your résumé and professional skills?
Career Services is seeking a positive, team-oriented student to serve as a career mentor, support marketing and outreach in the College of Science, present on career-related topics, help with events, and assist with a science-focused career information database and website. Training will be provided.

Required Qualifications
Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, and presentation skills.
Strong computer skills, comfortable with Microsoft Office including Excel (or equivalent), and able to pick up new technical skills quickly
Solid project management skills and good attention to detail
To remain eligible for this position, students must:
Enroll as a full-time student each semester
Maintain at least a 2.0 GPA
Submit a FAFSA each year to be considered for Federal Work-Study funding (this requirement does not apply to international students). Students who applied for Federal Work-Study but were not awarded funding are still welcome to apply and may be considered for the position.
Preferred Qualifications
GPA > 3.0 (higher GPAs strongly preferred)
Major in the College of Science preferred. May also consider candidates in other majors who have a strong technical background, strong communication skills, and an interest in science.
Experience with Adobe Create Cloud products, HTML/CSS, SQL, or basic coding is a plus but not required.
