Job Description:
Career Peers serve as a student-to-student resource for fellow Tri-C students in individual advising sessions, workshops, drop-in hours, etc. With other Office of Career Marketplace responsibilities, this is a great opportunity for students who want to develop skills in active listening, verbal and non-verbal communication, building relationships, critical thinking, problem solving, empathy and compassion, patience and resilience, self-awareness, public speaking, collaboration, professional writing, organization and client engagement, while also serving as a resource for their peers, and building their own professional development skills.
Essential Functions:
Provide 1:1 conversations available to fellow students during the day and evening hours
Assist staff and employers at career fairs and events
Help with set-up/tear-down and facilitation of tabling events
Facilitate workshops focused on various career education topics
Serve as a liaison to students at all Tri-C campuses
Support staff members on various projects and initiatives
Provide frontline support in reception areas within the office
Participate in office outreach activities

Applicationrequirements:
Be a currently enrolled Tri-C student (international students are eligible)
Must be able to commit to at least two, full, consecutive semesters.
Must be able to work at least 15 hours per week
Must be in good academic standing with the college
Availability to participate in a 3+ hour training their first week of employment
Must not hold other on-campus employment
Must have both daytime and evening availability to assist with on-campus events assistants, student appointments, etc., and be available to assist with drop-ins.

Special Note: Target Starting Salary Range: $14.42
The final offer for the successfulcandidate is targeted to fall within this range, but will be based upon anassessment of internal equity, the unit's available budget, and the candidate'squalifications in relation to the minimum and/or preferred job requirement(s).
If hired, you must reside in the state of Ohio and be within commuting distance of this work location/campus to respond to onsite work demands upon the employment start date and throughout the duration of your employment with the College, as outlined in 3354:1-40-01.1 Recruitment and Selection Procedure.
