Career Project Manager

Pay Rate: $100.00 per hour

Summary:

• Duration: 12 month
• Work Mode: Hybrid
• Location: Oakland, CA
• The role is hybrid with a preference for someone local in the Bay Area, typically requiring onsite work 2 days a month.

Responsibilities:

• Apply and adapt project management techniques.
• Work on projects that may not be well-defined or require creativity or new approaches.
• Obtain commitment on detailed work plans including schedule, cost, resources, contingency, and communication plans.
• Ensure project documentation is maintained and obtain management approval as needed.
• Identify, analyze, and address project performance issues.
• Manage the integration of vendor tasks and track and review vendor deliverables.
• Communicate project status to all stakeholders.
• Assess project risk and develop contingency plans.
• Identify and communicate lessons learned and best practices.
• Determine that project objectives are achievable.
• Budget tracking and reporting.
• Project reporting (PlanisWare).
• Budget reporting and compliance (EPIC PMO, etc.).
• Timelines, critical path management.
• Meeting management (daily, weekly, monthly operating reviews).
• 1-3-10/Tactical implementation plan/Workstream management.
• Interface with and across supporting organizations.

Requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or equivalent in education and experience.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in project management, project controls, engineering, and/or construction.

Preferred Skills:

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and maintenance desired.
• Specific experience with electric utilities desired.
• Electric industry experience desired.
