Residential Caregiving Facility is looking for a caregiver who will provide routine daily nursing care to long term residents. These are 6 bed residential home facilities.
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- At least 6 months care-giving experience
- Must have CPR certification upon hire
- Must have a negative Tb test and physical before scheduled
Specific Job Requirements
- Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm as well as willingness to handle difficult clients.
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
- Must be knowledgeable of HIPAA privacy laws and maintain confidential information.
- Maintains professional working relationships with all associates, vendors, etc.
Approx. 24- 30 hours a week. 5am - 10 am during the week, with 5 AM - 1 PM rotating weekends; 1:15pm to 9:15pm with rotating weekends; 9:15pm to 5:15am with rotating weekends.
Essential Functions
- Must be able to safely lift, turn, push, pull, reposition, and transport patients 50 lbs and over.
- Must be able to assist clients with ADLs: showers, personal grooming, feeding, and toileting, etc.
- Prepare and serve meals as well as light housekeeping.
- Able to accurately document and chart client care.
- Take Vital signs and willing to complete on job training for medication administration.
- Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients, staff, and family.
- Must be able to assist in the evacuation of patients.
- Must demonstrate dependable and regular attendance.
- Must be able to concentrate and use reasoning skills and good judgment.
- Must be able to communicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary team.
